3. The power cord can be cut to the desire length and attached to the control box through the woodhead connector. The white wire from the power cord should be attached to the white wire from the photo-electric eye and the white wire from the ballast. The black wire from the power cord should be attached to the black wire from the electric eye. The green wire from the power cord should be attached to the green wire from the backing plate. The red wire from the electric eye should be attached to the top black wire on the ballast. The cable from the light is attached to the control box through the woodhead connector and the black wire from the light is attached to the bottom black wire from the ballast and the white wire connected to the remaining white wire from the ballast. The green wire is connected to the green wires from the power cord and backing plate. All connections should be made with the proper wire nuts and checked for security. The tension relief fitting on the light cable should not be loosen or removed as it allows the light to rotate to the vertical position after it is placed in the water.

4. The light is now ready to be put into the water. Care should be taken to place it at a depth or location where it cannot be struck by a boat propeller or keel. The conduit with the cable will sink and lay on the bottom. Now the power cord can be plugged into the GFCI receptacle.
