Bulb Life

The bulb life is 24,000 hours ( approximately 5 years of use).

The bulb may be easily replaced and provide for another 5 years of maintenance-free enjoyment.

WARNING:
The system should never be turned on with the bulb out of the water as it can get hot and cause burns.

Bulb Replacement

Should your bulb burn out or break it can be easily replaced with a new bulb that you can order from us.

To replace the bulb follow these directions:

1. Unplug the light from the GFCI receptacle

2. Remove the light from the water by pulling it up using the light cable.

3. Remove the wire ties, shrink wrap and duct tape from the Fernco fitting.

4. Loosen the hose clamps from around the bulb and pull the bulb out of the Fernco.

5. Cut the wire nuts off and discard the old light.

6. Attach the new bulb with white wire to white wire, black wire to black wire and green to green using suitable wire nuts. The black and white wires in the wire nuts should be potted with "Fast Cure 5200 adhesive sealant" and allowed to cure, approximately one hour.

7. Slide the light bulb back into the Fernco adapter and tighten the hose clamps. You can rewrap the clamps with duct tape and or shrink wrap to facilitate future light bulb replacement.

8. Place the light assembly back in the water and plug the power cord back into the GFCI.
